Woman Dies In Car Crash While Sharing On Facebook About How "Happy" Pharrell Song Makes Her

A woman passed away in a car accident just seconds after posting on facebook about how happy Pharrell's track "Happy" made her.

Courtney Ann Sanford veered across a grass median in High Point, North Carolina on Thursday, hitting a truck head-on.

The female was killed. Thankfully, the truck driver was not injured.

Investigators claim that Sanford, 32, texted facebook at 8:33 a.m. Thursday. One minute later, a call came in about a car crash.

"The Facebook text happened at 8:33. We got the call on the wreck at 8:34," High Point Police Lt. Chris Weisner revealed to local media.

The officer added: "In a matter of seconds, a life was over just so she could notify some friends that she was happy."

Sanford was clearly referring to Pharrell's big hit when she wrote "The happy song makes me HAPPY."

When investigators checked her online activity, they also found out that she had been sharing selfies as she drove.

"As sad as it is, it is a grim reminder for everyone…you just have to pay attention while you are in the car," Weisner was quoted as saying.
